This month, we are excited about the inauguration of Corsica's first Fab Lab, a community center located in Ajaccio, France.
Fab Lab Connect has been integral to the initiation, bringing together a public and private partnership, planning, staffing, equipping, and opening Fab Lab Ajaccio. We are happy to share our first-hand experience and best practices with you all. It has been a wonderful journey with the support of the Fab Network and a creative local team.

June 11 was a very exciting day for Corsica – it was Inauguration Day for the first fab lab there, Fab Lab Ajaccio. This endeavor is part of Corsica’s innovation vision for the future and the first public and private partnership fab lab in France.
Now that the Fab Replication Grant has been awarded to five projects from around the world, it’s time for the project owners to go through the process of having their projects replicated in fab labs. Project owners will need to work closely with fab labs and follow step-by-step instructions to complete the process and receive the $1,000 grant.
