School Fab Lab / Makerspace Takes Off Empowering Teachers and Engaging Students
The School Fab Lab / Makerspace program is now in two schools in Brooklyn, New York. Both schools have had fantastic success with the program. Adopting this cutting edge technology is inspiring teachers and students alike. School Fab Lab / Makerspace allows students to explore the design process, encouraging problem solving with innovation, and enabling them to go from concept to design to prototype.
Caroline Latham, the principal at Saint Joseph High School, was astonished to see students knock on the door of her office to thank her for giving them such exciting opportunities. She remarked: “How often do you see that?”
Fab Lab Connect met with Teachers and Fab Managers at Saint Joseph High School in Brooklyn this summer, putting together Curriculum for the school year.
